PRE-REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR DECEMBER CLINICS! ENROLLMENT STARTS IN FALL 2025

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this experience right for me?

If you already play rugby and want an advantage at U14, high school or college level , then you are the right demographic for this clinic. You do not need to be the best player in the team already, you should want to become the best player you can be in your position through learning & practice. This program has been designed to be the best rugby clinic for teenagers in Connecticut & NY looking to improve their skills.

Why aren't these full day clinics?

Sessions are challenging, by design - we want participants to be rested to perform at their best. A half-day is the best length of time for instructors to teach, players to practice new skills, and also avoid becoming overly tired or distracted. Fatigue results in subpar performances, which in turn leads to injuries.

What health & safety will you have - will this be safe rugby training?

We will have qualified sports trainers on-site throughout the whole time players are training. Each age group will be assigned a dedicated trainer for the duration of their time with NXT Rugby. We will have the latest tackle shields & mats, jackal bags & game protection for use by the participants.

What is the player-coach ratio?

There will be 1 coach for every 8 players in attendance. This will allow for personal attention for each participant to provide maximum benefit for their learning & improvement. There will be instant video footage available of players to visualize their technique & understand how to improve their positional & mechanical form.

Is there food available?

Food & drinks are available for purchase at each location from the facility owners.

Is this a stayover?

NO. You arrive, you learn and slightly more than four hours later, you leave.

Can I cancel?

Yes, there is a cancellation charge of $100 if you change your mind for whatever reason after enrollment; pre-registration carries no cost.

As spaces are very limited and demand is expected to be high, it would be more prudent to move your booking to the next available camp rather than seek a refund. In either case, please send an email to contact@nxt.rugby if you wish to start the process.

  • Cancellation prior to 30 days before camp receives a 100% refund (minus $100 charge).

  • If you cancel less than 30 days before camp, you will receive a 50% refund (minus $100 charge).

  • Any cancellations due to injuries will need to have the relevant medical documents provided and will receive a 100% refund at any time (minus $100 charge).

Why are the clinics indoors?

The domes we use are climate-controlled, the weather won't affect the camps. This makes for more productive training & coordination when executing the program.

What do I bring?

Trainers, water bottle, mouthguards, towel, wear your club/HS team rubgy socks & shorts, spare t-shirt, snacks. You will be supplied a camp rugby jersey on the first day which you must wear during attendance.

NO CLEATS or gum are allowed in the facilities.

Will this help me improve my tackling?

How to improve tackling technique in youth rugby is one of the particular areas of focus we will be covering. We will have state-of-the-art tackle bags, shields, mats & body protection to provide a safe (& pain-free!) environment for players to perfect the right mechanics around this skill.
